I love SMF but the guy who owns the hosting website that I use will not allow me to enter custom MODs he let me have what HE wants me to have. I think it's not right that I can't give my members what they request because he wont allow it. So I was thinking of paying for a host that allows me to do as I please with my space, the limitation are killing me.

So does anyone know of a way to move my domain and all of my content to another host? Or am I stuck?

Thanks for any advice!

You will have a problem because you are on a FREE HOSTED hosting provider arent you?

What you will have to do is pay for hosting from a company and build your SMF website, then request a database backup of your site from your current free forum provider.

Once you got that, you can quickly add the database containing all your posts/forums/member details to your newly built SMF site.

Best of luck with it.

Having again looked at your site would it not just be easier to make a note of all your boards and emails for your members and just start over from scratch but build the site how you want it this time? Because sometimes free forum hosts charge $10 or more for the database backup and seeing as you only have 17 members and a few hundred posts it might be worth saving that money for the hosting of your own site and just starting up again
