I find that "What's your favorite _________" always produces a bunch of posts regardless of what subject. I've seen this on many forums (I've done it on mine) and people always respond - it's really easy.
I like the threads that call to a specific person. Like a thread called "Yo, Soliloquy" and then inside you may find anything from a simple "shaddap" to a copy of your avatar and images of groupies bowing down to it, as I explain what a great member and person you are. The single "shaddap" is more likely, but either works.
